It is now July 19 and half the year is gone already. Where does the time go?But, I am going to enjoy the rest of summer and hope that you all do too. So, what can I rant about this week? Well, maybe this isn't so much a rant as an observation. Where I work in customer service, customers call in sometimes with problems. You will answer the phone and they just start complaining and yelling about whatever and then you ask for their account number and there is like dead silence...and they say "Oh, I don't know it" or "I don't have that". It makes me laugh. That's the most important piece of information I need in order to help you solve your problem. So, the moral is for everyone...if you call anywhere and have a complaint or problem about "your account" please have your account number. Well, it's time to go and run my Saturday errands. Everyone have a great week!
I finally got my computer fixed! (thanks Mike!) I have been without it for almost two months. We had computer withdrawal going on at my house. You just never know how much you depend on your computer until it is gone.I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July. In my community, we had fireworks all around the cul de sac. It was awesome! The only thing missing was a grill, since I don't have one...yet.I can't believe that half the year is gone already. Soon, we will be getting ready for Christmas. LOL! And now to update, I voted for David Cook in American Idol and he won! Yes! I am looking forward to the CD! Also, I want to state that I am still and always will be a Backstreet Boys fan. (Come back Kevin)Till next time!Janet
My rant this week is about the Crofton Go Cart Raceway. I took my son and his friend there for my son's birthday yesterday and I probably won't be going there again too soon. Although the boys had fun, what I observed was a facility that needs some work on customer/employee interaction. There was a guy about 10 people in front of us who started antagonizing the girl behind the booth selling tickets. Something about she didn't give him the right change. He got her so upset that she was standing up in the booth yelling at him through the thick plexiglass. But, that wasn't enough. When he walked away to get in the line to ride, she came out of the booth and followed him and a bigger argument erupted. She was screaming at him that he wasn't going to "ride today" and he was putting her down for working such a mediocre job. Yeh, he went personal on her, which was totally disrespectful. I was waiting for a gun to come out, I really was. Everyone in line was like, "can you just stop cause we didn't come here for this". She finally went back into the booth and continued to sell tickets. I couldn't believe it. This was my first visit to the Go Cart Raceway and most likely will be my last. Not a very good impression. I just don't understand why some people have to ruin the good time for someone else. And I ask, where was the manager at this time? That is who should have stepped in to diffuse the situation. By the way, the guy did ride the Go Carts.
